Dr. Jazayeri does not recommend using the incision inside the mouth as there is an increase in complications with the intra-oral technique. Once the tissue is carefully stretched and the implant is placed inside the jaw, the incisions are closed with sutures.

Any swelling and discomfort that exists during the next few days can be relieved by prescribed medication and cold compresses.
